报告题目Electrocatalyst for Fuels

Abstract

Electrocatalyst is at the heart of many energy storage and conversion technologies including fuel cells, metal-air batteries and water electrolysis. The development of highly efficient and cost-effective electrode materials is critical for the practical application of these technologies. [1] In this talk, I will brief our research results about electrocatalysts for fuel generation and application in energy and environment technologies. [2, 3] Especially, we will demonstrate a novel approach for the synthesis of nanocarbons derived from metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), demonstrating higher electrocatalytic activity and stability for oxygen reduction and evolution than that of commercial Pt/C catalyst. [4] Our results demonstrate a new strategy to design and prepare MOFs-derived nanomaterials and represent new opportunities in developing highly active MOFs-derived catalysts as Pt alternatives in electrochemical energy devices.

报告人介绍:

夏宝玉华中科技大学教授,博士生导师。2010年毕业于上海交通大学大学,获工学博士学位。2011年至2016年在新加坡南洋理工大学能源研究所和化学与生物工程学院工作。主要从事结构功能材料的设计及其在能源、环境等领域应用的教学与研究工作,包括研发新型燃料电池、金属空气电池以及水耦合碳(氮)循环转换等能源技术,并在新能源与新材料工程领域取得一系列创新性研究成果。近些年在国际学术期刊发表论文60篇,包括Nat. Energy 1篇,Nat. Commun. 1篇,J. Am. Chem. Soc. 3篇,Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. 6篇,Adv. Mater. 2篇,Energy Environ. Sci. 1篇等。发表论文包括2ESI热点论文 (hot paper) 16ESI高被引论文、6篇封面论文、1VIP论文和2篇热点论文 (Angew. Chem.), 研究成果被ChemistryViewsMaterialsViews等多个国内外媒体报道。2016年获 “中组部千人计划”, Outstanding Reviewer for J. Mater. Chem. A 2016.
